A seven acre former trout fishery managed now for Predator fishing. Depth's to 12 feet, pike to 35lb, catfish to 26lb and zander to 6lb with some Eels to 7lb. limited night fishing, live and deadbait trout score well, popped up methods and ledgering tactic's. Take the A15 north west from Peterborough, at Market Deeping on the bypass take the A16 towards Spalding. Take the first left and the fishery is opposite the White House trout fishery on the left.
This two mile stretch is run by Ringwood DAA, contact 01425 471466, Tickets: Season £80, OAP's £60, + joining fee £15. Juniors £37 no joining fee, Night permit £20 extra, Day tickets £7.50 in advance. Description: Average width 13 metres with depth's to 10 ft, Pike to 28lb with big Barbel as well as many other species. Roving tactic's score best with slacks in river flow ideal in winter. From Ringwood on A31 take the B3347 South towards Christchurch, pass the petrol station and take the right at Hampshire hatches Lane for the lower section, another access is at the top of B3081 slip road, on bend signposted to verwood. enter car park, walk to the river over disused railway, then turn right over the stile.
A six Acre pit on a complex of lakes. From Ipswich head North on the A1156 for 3 miles, then pick up the A14 towards Norwich, Take the first exit to Claydon, turn left at the T-Junction onto the old Norwich road, after a mile turn left across the A14 road bridge, fishery at the bottom of the road. St Mary's Bridge, St Germans, to it's junction with the 16ft drain at Three Holes 17 Kms. Various access points from the A10 & A1122 at Denver, to areas such as Peter's bridge, Magdalen, Mortons, Neep's, Crooked Chimney, Aqueduct, Pingle & Three Holes. Man made drain averaging 27 Mts wide with depths to 12 ft. Pike to 25lb are present, Zander to 18lb exist though very hard to locate, fresh live and deadbaits score mainly in the hour's of darkness.
Contact 01902 700774. Pike to 32lb, areas to try are Lodge Bay, Hotel Bay, ( boat required ) and Raven Oak. Best baits are Squid, Sardines and Eel sections and of course trout deadbaits as this water is also a trout fishery. Tickets: £6 day on the Gt Lake, + boat hire if needed, £4 day on Bridge Pool. Just South of Wolverhampton.
King's Lynn to Denver Sluice, 15 Kms. Reed lined man made channel with inconsistent flows rates, depth's range between 6 - 14ft. Controlled by King's Lynn AA, contact Mike Grief 01553 671545. Good Access points from bridges at Saddlebow, Watlington, Magdalen, Stowbridge & Denver.

From the junction with the Middle Level main drain it splits in two, going to River Nene 3.5 Kms, and going to Nordelph 4.5 Kms. Two small drains with Pike to 23lb & Zander to 14lb, Eels are in abundance in the Summer month's, access is limited try Euximoor Botton section. 80 acre lake but only access to 40 Acre, Pike to 27lb, Zander to 19lb 2oz. the potential for a record could come from here, angler's use remote control boats to get their baits too long distances, small deadbaits score best. It is advisable to have a trolley for your tackle, as you can expect a long walk to various swims. Tickets : £34 Season ( required if you want to night fish ), £3.50 day tickets on the bank. Denver sluice West bank to Danby's Drove. East bank, Denver sluice to Modney Court. Some areas are restricted, noticeboard at Windmill Bridge. 6 Kms of deep mature slow river varying in depth's from 9 - 20ft, adjacent road offering easy access. Pike to 26lb, Zander to 12lb. Denver sluice to Wretton Fen Pumping station just below Downham Market, approx 10 Kms. Man made Channel with depths between 6 - 13ft, best access points are Denver sluice, Fordham, Hilgay, Crossways, & Wereham. Pike to 28lb, Zander to 16lb 8oz. Alton Water, Holbrook, Suffolk. A 400 Acre Reservoir with depth's to 25ft, Pike to 30lb have been caught, a roving approach is needed here due to the vast amount of water, which can only be fished from the bank, and No night fishing allowed, I know because twice I have been caught, but I felt it worth it. Tickets: £2.50 per rod, Season £25. contact 01473 589105. Take the A12 East towards Ipswich, turn off at Bentley and follow signs to Holbrook.
Fishing all year round on this huge Gravel Pit, Pike to 30lb, Zander to 12lb. Controlled by Luton AC, contact 01582 728114. Tickets: £4 day, Season & Night fishing ( Tel for details.) Take the A421 North East of Bedford towards Wyboston.
Gravel Pit holding Pike to 32lb, area's to try include Gorse Island, South End Pier, and back of the Island, depth's range from 3ft to 12ft. Tickets: £6.50 day for two rods. No night fishing. Contact 01375 677166. Take A13 East towards Corringham, then signposted.
Pike to 34lb inhabit this vast water, boat and bank fishing available, depth's to 35ft in the middle. Trout livebaits available on site from on-site Baliff Wes Horton. contact 01444 892549. Area's to try are Balcombe Arm, Dam Wall, Eagle Point and the Road Dam at the far end. Tickets: £6 day, + boat if required at £10. Season Ticket £90 ( Req to night fish. ) M23 to Crawley and then the A23, then signposted to Reservoir.
Pike to 30lb on this stretch of river, River flows are main factors to success, roving approach again to seek them out. Tickets: £8 day, £10 night. Contact 01425 653030. From M27 jct 1, take B3078 towards Fordingbridge, fishery on the right after the holiday Camp.
This 144 Acre water has a history going back to Pike of 40lb +, although more recently they attain weights to 36lb, a classic trout water syndrome where if left intact, pack on weight to reach these weights. Tickets: £6 per 24 hrs, boats £10 day if required. Contact 01206 230642. Take the A12 towards Colchester, then signposted to the reservoir.
Main lake has Pike to 34lb, on-site bait, toilet & food facilities.Tickets:£6 day (2 rods) £8.50 (3 rods) 24 hrs £10, £12. Contact 01703 869881. From jct 2 of the M27, take the first left, then left again onto the A36 towards Totton, and first left into Hill St, fishery on the right.
8 Lakes on this fishery, but only three for the Pike. Cabin Lake 6 Acres, for Pike to 32lb. Bird Lake40 Acres, for Pike to 20lb. Specimen Lake 4.5 Acres, for Pike to 20lb. Going East on the A47 from King's Lynn for approx 7 Miles, East Winch and then signposted.
No 1 Pit is 120 Acres, No 2 approx 80 Acres, Pike to 28lb although bigger is possible in these big Pits. A Ultra Tough Venue where rod hours have to be put in to be successful. 5 acres. Gravel pit, depths averaging 7 ft, one man made reed island and several lily beds. Pike to 25lb, also some very large eels to 7lb plus, good head of catfish to 38lb. The water is full of small roach and rudd, the bottom is gravel with occasional silt patches. Two rods only, barbless hooks only. Fishery gates are closed between 7pm and 7am. Bankside space is limited so large bivvies are out. Cost: £5 day ticket, £1 extra for second rod, night fishing the same, or £30 membership plus £3 for the key. Location: Leave the A13 at the Basildon and Corringham exit, follow the signs towards Fobbing. Go through Fobbing, past the Corringham town sign, after the fire station on the right, take a left turn into Herd lane, fishery car park is 200yds on the right.
Situated N.N. East of Ely, about a mile from the town centre. Head out of Ely on the Queen Adelaide road, B1382 and turn right into the Environmental Agencies entrance. Park your car on the left or right before the gates. Otherwise you may get locked in. Alternatively, carry on past the E.A. entrance about 300 yards and turn right into the Sailing club. Carry on along side the club and park down near the railway crossing.
