Hi Rick, You may have been to the loch by now I am sure. I visited the loch for the first time myself a week back and landed two pike on deadbait which were just shy of double figures with a third one missed. I will be back again for sure. Quite a few people were using spinners but had no luck so I think deadbait on the bottom is your best bet. Apparently the whole place turns in fish, with pike to be had all over the water. The dam wall is a popular haunt and the south end of the loch is quite shallow and weedy so it looks better for fun with plugs if you are after jack pike. The point has quite a few sunken trees around it so I would be careful with lures or bait around that part of the water. Good Luck! E mail if you have any questions. Stephen

Really..do you mean weight wise or general fin condition? The ones I have caught have been pretty healthy looking but there are very few 'big' fish around. I don't know if thats because theres just not enough food for them to gain weight or whether its the sheer number of smaller pike creating competition for prey fish.
